Design Vision:
The Architecture is a growing and developing structure according to the daily cultural and social development of the individuals.
And recently in Egypt, the restaurants and cafeterias became one of the most important daily and weekly Entertainment destinations for different social classes; in fact, it is a destination for the families, the young people, the students and the businessmen to meet, mix and co-exist in a calm and smooth environment away from the noise and noise of everyday life. It is a destination for families, young people, students and businessmen to meet, mix and unite in a calm and quiet environment away from the noise, anxiety and the daily life’ speed.
Thus, these destinations became the path and the refuge which is designed to escape the pressures and loads of the daily life. The natural environment, the beauty of nature, the serenity, the surfaces, the water, the green spaces, the open air and the sense of spontaneity are among the most important reasons for peoples to go to these places. Therefore, the main reasons for the Mega Food Court’ Project to choose such location, would be the natural properties and characteristics of the venue.
We find herein that the architectural visions of these projects would always vary and develop and be influenced by the nature of the location, its specifications, and its wonderful natural characteristics. This influence is manifested through the development of the architectural concepts of the building with its mass and huge components and is oriented towards melting and integration with the natural features surrounding the place.
As a result of the architectural visions and to avoid the massive components and the engineering systems, the architectural ideas and their sources lies in the natural features of the location’ elements, as well as in the behavior, echo and dynamism of the nature, in order to reach an architectural structure in total harmony with the nature and completely far from any contradictions, conflicts or differences with it.
The Tivoli Maadi project is located in a unique place and is very distinguished by the beautiful nature. It is actually situated on the Nile River’ embankment. Its main facade is directly overlooking the Nile and its background facade on the Corniche Street in Al Maadi, which provides a special location to the project characterized by natural, spatial, visual, cultural and urban features that are very important.
And here the architectural vision of the project adopted its sources from the simulation of the architectural structure of the building to the features of the natural elements to have fun and feel in cohesion and harmony with the nature of rivers’ banks and especially the Nile River in Egypt.
Design Concept:
The typical architectural features used to interact with the Nile River. The architectural concepts have been directed to try to reflect this idea. The most important features that man used to deal with the river’ bank, whether the passages or open and graduated terraces, the walkway along the river line (embankment walk) , floating bridges and floating ship platforms.
All these Architectural and Construction elements and features mentioned earlier, represents the requirements of the architectural language of the project in order to allocate a unique and distinctive character of the project. This will make it different from the designs, stereotypes and traditional projects located in the center of the city or the New City.
The kinetic forms of the aforementioned architectural and structural elements are influenced by the behavior, the spontaneous nature of the Nile River and its Banks. The concept is that these elements are overlapped in dynamic and unstable configurations under the influence of the frequencies of water rippling as well as curved lines and the share lines curves.
